Good morning all, no rain or thunder and lightning over night here.
The flying beasties have hot me though, 11 bites in the back of my thigh and a few on my arms. I was out in the garden doing some watering and planting yesterday morning must of been had then.
I'll cut the grass and spend the day pottering around the garden again today.

Cooler today although still warm. Seems the heatwave is over which whilst more pleasant to sleep and actually do stuff it'll be a shame to go back to usual cool, breezy and damp conditions typical of a British summer!

Morning folks managed to move some meconopsis [blue poppies] from some naff compost into good potting compost. Very fiddley as theyre tiny but hopefully i can grow them on and plant them in my front garden
Out for a spin soon, nice to not need a jacket, glad ive got a vizor on my helmet as large bugs/beetles/bee's etc have been hitting which would hurt without protection.

we had a lot of lightening last night, but no thunder I find that very odd

Coooeeee. 13 deg here. Well that was an interesting night. Thunder, lightning and torrential rain. My poor hanging baskets have taken quite a bashing. I don't think I've seen or heard as much thunder and lightning in one storm.

One of my favourite plants but won't grow in my Lancashire garden. Lucky you. I'm jealous.

Well I managed another hour. I'm now in Tesco cafe drinking coffee after a quick shop. I'm waiting for the car wash people to finish. I confess I really came to get the car cleaned, it was filthy and I'm giving friends a lift to Blackpool later today. The car guys will do a great job in 45 minutes, it would take me 2 - 3 hours.

I will get mine done when we come back from holiday

It will end up parked at the harbour car park for 10 days to it will need it by them

I will probably give it a damn good going over with the hosepipe to get any salt off first

It's the Blackpool (centenary) Dance Festival starting today with 9,000 participants from 50 countries.........I suspect getting parked in Blackpool will be a nightmare when we go to the theatre this afternoon.

I blame Strictly.......well in truth I blame Strictly for a lot of things, not just a parking nightmare.

articles are about new houses being built - clearly a paid for advert
and little things

when I know that the Air Ambulance has landed near here twice over the last week
once just up the road from here
and nothing

also something happened by Tesco yesterday requiring about 6 cop cars

again - nothing
