Good late afternoon/early evening. Grey and windy but it's been a good drying day........the downside to this is the mountain of ironing that awaits.

A busy day, an admirable amount of admin completed and a lot of allotmenting achieved. I'm rather pleased.

Mrs P is cooking, I thought it would be me, so I'm relaxing with a G&T...........large.

I'm excited, well very excited. Tomorrow we're taking #1 and #2 for a picnic and day out. #1 is staying for a sleepover. They get on very well. I'm sure we'll have a great day. Granddading is wonderful. We're going to

Sunny start here but a lot more cloudy now but no rain.

Some planting done and some admin also , will have a check over of the Faran after Fridays ride but won't have to mess about with the AR Stayer as the tyre has held up overnight.

Well the check over ended up being a good clean down including washing the Grepp fabric bar tape and cleaning the Brooks Cambium saddle with some Schwalbe soap, plus cleaning out the Honjo mudguards and giving the inside of them a spray to help against some corrosion of bolts etc.

Lovely day with grandson, 11, as mum took a trip to London to watch the Arsenal parade for kicking pigs bladders.
We went on a bike ride, walked the dogs & played chess. He's actually quite good & I'm quite useless but I did win best of three 😂

He also tried my freshly made Banana cake & custard after our Spaghetti Hoops on toast for dinner.. 👍

I bought a can of white spray paint today for a project, got home put the bag down and the can suddenly split o the seam. Thankfully a bag for life so wrapped the top over and stuck it outside to let it leak and hiss in the bag. Unfortunately the receipt was also in the bag and is now in a white puddle of spray paint.

Was that to circle all the potholes

Evening all . Am totally cream crackered . As I might of mentioned I havnt done much sailing recently (as well as cycling lol ).
Today was as windy as I can normally cope with but today I couldn’t cope ☹️.
Because I had a physical job I always took my fitness as a given. It’s no longer a given ☹️. Think I need to change my ways .

It comes to us all. It's quite remarkable what one can achieve by keeping up physical hobbies, cycling and sailing for you, and adding in some stretching, weights and walking. All of which can be done from/at home.

Good morning from a slightly over cast Dorset. At this time of year we're plagued with small moths that seem to appear from nowhere. They're attracted to the light from my ereader when I am reading in bed. I came up with a heath-robinson solution to the problem. I got a pack of those " pheromone traps " which are basically cardboard backed sticky paper strips that fold into a triangle. We have some rechargeable tea lights that were lying unused in a box so I charged them up. I then made up a couple of the moth traps and lay them on their sides over the tea lights. Result! Loads of the little blighters were attracted to the lights and caught overnight. Hopefully they will also attract the occasional gnat with the high pitch whine that sometimes appear.
Good to see the legend that is " The Drago " is back in town 😎
