Good morning. Wet!!! The allotment needs it, my plants will be happy, my butts will overflow with joy.........

Excellent day at the farm with #1 and #2SPs. #1 is here on a sleepover. Granddad was having a quiet coffee at 6.00am........then she got up. Granddad has just said he's going to sit down with another coffee..........and will only be available for Uno after this.

At 8.00 I'm off to collect #3, sister to #1. Another full on day!

Good morning from a soggy Dorset. £225 from uncle Ernie this month. Thunderstorms forecast for midday, will see how that affects the turnout for our walking group, only 5 turned up last week, we're usually in the mid teens.

Morning.
Showery and a bit breezy. Hoping to get out for a spin if I can, may need to time it between showers. Otherwise some weights.
Ongoing investigation into why my petrol strimmer not running. It's lasted 28 years so I can't say not had moneys worth but if I can fix it I will rather than buy another. Too much stuff gets disposed of these days rather than repaired.

As for Premium Bonds a nice £600.

Morning all

Got some parcels to post first thing, then back in my workshop fettling the Raleigh Wisp. I think I may have put my finger on the problem after stripping out the flywheel magneto, points, condenser and coil. Will see if my thoughts were correct.
Might nip down to the Star for lunch.

The water butt is now full, I am thinking of buying another and linking the two together to make 420ltrs capacity.

Nice and wet here this morning after raining non stop since 9:30 last night with more to come .

Got some stuff planted out yesterday so they all have got a good watering in, also did a bit of tidying of pots and disposing of stuff that hasn't survived or re-grown.

Today will be a chill day although the Stayer All Road rear tyre is down again so will investigate that and may do some more sifting through stuff to sell or send to the chazzers.

One of the parents of a deceased child was banging on about how it should be taught in schools about the dangers of jumping into cold water when the air temperature is hot.
How about the parents taking responsibility for educating their offspring against doing this kind of activity.
It's the same when a child/youth gets killed whilst playing on the railway.
It's always someone else's fault.

On a similar topic a woman herein Oz whose 12 yo child had killed himself on an e device was going on about aorta do something about it but never considered that she should not have bought her child the e device in the first instance.

Without getting too political, I find it mind blowing how people who decide to have children expect others to have so much responsibility for them. If you can't pay for them and look after them, don't feckin have them!

I do agree with you (largely) although there are lots of single women that didnt plan/want a child and are just not capable of bringing them up.
We were fortunate....... Sue was just (i think) 20 when we both decided we wanted a baby and the result was 'instant'....never looked back.
