Am I the only person that has never eaten a scotch egg.......no reason, its just never happened.

I've never had one for breakfast though.
M&S runny yoked scotch eggs are particularly yummy. :hungry:

A strange one that. When you are at school or working then Monday is the 'start' of the week but as you say Sunday seems to be the traditional 1st day.

Always been Monday for me in any situation. I think whenever one sees or hears the phrase "w/c June 15th" the day is a Monday. Mind you God worked for six days and rested on the seventh, the Sabbath, making Saturday the last day and so Sunday the first day of the week.

Good morning. Overnight rain seems to be clearing away and the sub is putting his hat on.......hip, hip, hip hooray, he's coming out to play. Oh, right. Sorry. Childminding was yesterday. A busy morning is ahead followed by a quiet afternoon; 09.30 u3a committee meeting, 11.15 another u3a meeting, 13.00 PT session........and that is it. I have to build a new back gate so I may do some measuring and head out to buy timber, etc. I'm not very good at this stuff but the entrance to our back yard is such that I need a gate that's 173cm x 87cm, impossible to buy and extremely expensive to get someone to build for you.

Food of the gods. Especially if made with black pudding and served warm with a slightly runny yolk...................which I know is a very posh scotch egg. I'll eat just about any scotch egg offered to me.

By black pudding I assume you mean congealed blood with lumps of fat ?
I will give that a miss.

Black pudding In England is lovely. However black pudding in Wales is nasty. xx(

Local butcher here does a nice one. He also runs the local Steading Cafe which does a roaring trade. Last time I had a black pudding roll there was two really big delicious slices on the roll.

I only walked just over 3 miles this morning as it was still a heavy drizzle. I'll get back out again later.

We have a wall calendar, the type with a picture on the top half and the days of the month ( with boxes for writing in appointments etc) below. This year Mrs Tkk purchased one with the top picture showing a different classical film poster each month ( gone with the wind etc ). It does however have the first day of each week showing as a Sunday. This is a change from all our previous calendars and even though we're now in June I've still not got used to it 😕
