69, & my GP says I will officially be old at 70!

That is the reason I've never had hanging baskets. They are lovely but need constant watering.

They are a PITA!

Does that mean you can't get bowel cancer when you are over 75?
The argument is the standard follow up procedure of a colonoscopy carries risks to those aged 75+ either from the investigation or the general anaesthetic. I declined a GA and had gas and air.

There's also the suggestion bowel cancel is slow to develop and life-expectancy may be shorter than the illness takes to develop. My wife would disagree. Diagnosed in autumn '24 she now has stage 4 terminal bowel cancer.

Me? I'm on a trial with an annual voluntary colonoscopy. I'm happy to take every screening I can get!!

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Coooeeeè. I have all the doors and open to help cool the house down. Forecast is for 26 which is cooler than yesterday. I felt quite ill at one point. I have all the doors and windows open to help cool the house down. I can feel the difference. Everything feels quite damp though, probably the humidity. No rain or storms here, I wish. Lol

Stay safe peeps :hello:

Good morning, a bit cooler at 25 so the windows are open. Rain overnight and an early rise at 04:15 when I was dozing fitfully and heard a taxi pull up to collect neighbours who are away on holiday. Mrs Tkk has a couple of classes this morning, pilates and yoga possibly, I will venture out for a walk before it gets too hot, then off to collect granddaughter from school.

Barnet,
Good morning all fellow retired persons.
Today is due to be up to 34⁰ before cooling slightly over the weekend. :heat:
An early walk with Millie 1st thing and then I'll be watering my tomatoes and vegetable patch and MrsP's hanging baskets and pots which are looking pretty good, although they do need watering every day in this heat, sometimes twice.
The escape committee is meeting at the Railway Bell lunchtime. Our trip this year has been finalised, we are off to Bayonne, Biarritz in SW France and San Sebastian in NW Spain.
Keep cool everyone. :cuppa:

Warm this morning but as I'm typing this we have a heavy cloudburst so should soak in nicely as we watered the garden this morning.

Had a nom breakfast of potato and onion frittata with mushrooms and veggie sausages and second coffee will be brewed in a bit.

Again nothing planned today ,will just see how it pans out.
