Barnet,
I loved it too. I always feel a sense of sadness once it's all over. Sadly athletes seem to be dropping out of the Commonwealth Games left right and centre. Maybe it's time they just did away with it?

Yeah Commonwealth Games of little interest to be honest. It was always the poor relation to Olympics but now it's rapidly receding.

Always second, third, or fourth best to the Olympics, world's and European meets.
This year it seems most of the 'names' are opting to prepare for the European athletics or the diamond league where they can earn good money.
I think maybe it is time to abandon the commonwealth games.

I also had yoghurt this morning. With banana and a handful of granola and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Aldi ( or Lidl, can’t remember which ) do a Kefir drink which is excellent both as a drink and when poured over Muesli / Granola. Really good for the gut biome, I was going to drink 100ml each evening as recommended ( by Oxford Uni nutrition Prof ), but it's too nice so I neck a big bottle in 2-3 days 😁. It's the consistency of cream so I use a spoon scraped up the insides of the glass so as not to waste any. It comes in flavoured varieties but I get the plain and drizzle some maple syrup into it as a treat.

Well I'm back

snow on The Bridge was all cleared up
apparently there was a party sort of thing with loads of people at "The Snig" which is a pub with a proper small music venue in the garden area
Apparently Batman himself turned up!!

we really must go there sometime - they seem to have some damn goo tribute bands on there

@Drago
There's your old chicken run under the M1. It's a public footpath (apart from the slip road onto the motorway, obviously 😉

After our mini-break last week it is good to be back to our usual low-carb diet.

Carb's are buggers for putting weight on rapidly and serve very little purpose unless you are a minimally fat athlete.

Yes, the TdF was good and well done TP. Shame about JV. I have to confess, though, I do find the sprint stages a bore.

Weather mild but windy today.

Had a nice session on the gym earlier but otherwise just dossing.

Hope your respective days are going well!
