I loved it too. I always feel a sense of sadness once it's all over. Sadly athletes seem to be dropping out of the Commonwealth Games left right and centre. Maybe it's time they just did away with it?

Yeah Commonwealth Games of little interest to be honest. It was always the poor relation to Olympics but now it's rapidly receding.

Always second, third, or fourth best to the Olympics, world's and European meets.
This year it seems most of the 'names' are opting to prepare for the European athletics or the diamond league where they can earn good money.
I think maybe it is time to abandon the commonwealth games.

Aldi ( or Lidl, can’t remember which ) do a Kefir drink which is excellent both as a drink and when poured over Muesli / Granola. Really good for the gut biome, I was going to drink 100ml each evening as recommended ( by Oxford Uni nutrition Prof ), but it's too nice so I neck a big bottle in 2-3 days 😁. It's the consistency of cream so I use a spoon scraped up the insides of the glass so as not to waste any. It comes in flavoured varieties but I get the plain and drizzle some maple syrup into it as a treat.
