After 2 weeks of no Gallagher and the main channel showing a live woman’s match, what happens this Saturday at 3pm?
The 2 live Gallagher games get shunted onto stream only and TNT1 has another live woman’s match, which has been given the prime KO time.
The men’s equivalent Gallagher encounter follows at the really horrible KO time of 6pm.

Folks forking out TNT’s ridiculous subscription price for rugby getting short changed imo.

The "for rugby" was unnecessary elaboration I think.

Some want to watch the womens matches, nothing wrong with that.

Sure.
I watch them now and again, but not instead of a Gallagher match.
I am not saying don’t cover the women’s match, just questioning why it’s not a streaming only option.

I can’t imagine a WSL football match getting priority coverage over say Man City vs Liverpool.

One could well argue that happens most Sundays at the moment, with a WSL match being shown live on BBC2, while they only have MOTD highlights of the men's matches.

Certainly that is the case on national tv. It’s hard to take issue with that, given the extortionate money involved in procuring premiership/champions cup football.
The BBC is a fantastic platform to promote women’s footie.

However, subscription sports packages are sold by specific content, not cheaper alternatives.

Karl Dickson effectively ended the Leicester Gloucester match as a contest by citing an obscure and stupid rule to award a penalty try and issue a yellow card.
Despite all the emphasis on getting low in the tackle, you can’t slide in to make one, even when the opposition player is sliding in to score.
It was an enjoyable contest to that point, with lots of chances for both sides.

I thought that was a ludicrous decision. He was clearly trying to slide under the player and didn’t catch his head or do any damage. Even if that decision was technically correct the yellow card was completely disproportionate. The TMO must have been in his ear which is part of a wider problem in the game.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
I watched the first half of the Bristol - Quins match. Bristol looked really sharp and LRZ is class. Quins never got out of second gear. Serves them right for wearing such stupid kit.

Quinn’s had so much possession but squandered so many chances, often with poor handling.
Bristol’s handling on the other hand, was sublime. A one hundred percent conversion rate in that first half.

Newcastle showed some green shoots of improvement this afternoon, giving Bath a game for half an hour. Faded a bit after that, with the arrival of the bomb squad in the second half helping Bath reach the half century.
It was played in front of a full house, but they really need a new stand. As it is, the ground looks like it belongs to a third division outfit.

Really annoying having the womens PRL game ahead of the mens games, especially when the red button wouldn't show the 2 mens matches, so had to resort to the laptop.

Karl Dickson is the only ref to apply that off your feet law, and has done so before. But then he is the worst of the English refs.

quins were shockingly bad, a bit like gloucester - they can get into a good position and then look clueless. Quins not helped by Luke Butterfingers Northmore. However Bristol were good, and seem to have learnt how to defend - last year their defence was a joke, only Newcastle were worse. LRZ at 15 was a great switch and Wales need to put him there too.

Bath unsurprisingly started slow given the changes, but the result was never in doubt - they could have kept the bench back for another 10 minutes and still won easily. The length of the field try istraight from the restaert was a thing of beauty!

Top of the tree for the third Christmas in a row!

What the hell is happening with the Dragons? They hammered Connacht, their second win on the trot and are also no longer propping up the URC.
