We weren’t good and if Wales had scored that try , it may have been different. However second half result !!

If your aunty had testicle's, and all that.

Your right of course, it was all about that second half, and I think the margin could have been greater with a bit more composure.

Could be a crucial match for the 6N (division 2) this afternoon. Italy looked really spicy against France.

Division 1 was settled yesterday.

Italy really need to work on being awake when the match starts. Against both Engaland France they were slow out of the blocks and found themselves on the wrong end of a big scoreline early on.

I think Ireland will beat France, but that's the hardest game to call.

I think Scotland will batter Wales

spot on , well predicted :okay:

Whether we spectators think something makes the game better or worse to watch is really unimportant. We spectators don't have any skin in this game. It's about safety - if the changes are effective, then good. If they aren't then not good.

woaah there Captain Crusader!!! Bear in mind that it's mainly PLAYERS objecting to the new measures. Safety and risk are ALWAYS compromises, so if the players say that it's ruining their game, I am not going to argue with them (cos they're mainly bigger than me ... )

Indeed, tis what I said. Players* have a say, Armchair fans ... don't. That's why I don't have any real opinion either way as it's none of my business.

* and coaches etc.

Fans do have some say, as the pros wouldn't be pros without us. Like I said, it's always a compromise ... but I've also said, I'm totally onboard with tackling the brain-injury epidemic.

Anyway, it's just an internet forum discussion! 'Snot like I'm telling you how to vote on the matter, we're just discussing what the players want, what they do, and generally shootin the breeze, ...

(Interesting to get @Beebo 's input though, as you hinted.)

Wooden spoon approaching for Wales. No points yet, an improving England to face next up and then away trips to Rome and Paris....

The new rules proposal show just how out of touch the RFU are. Its very laudable trying to reduce brain injuries in top level rugby (where this biggest issue is) , but doing that by bringing in new rules at grass roots level, with minimal consultation that are fundamentally flawed* and may actually increase brain injuries danger for those attempting tackles.

*anyone like to explain how a maul can form if no-one can tackle above the waist? for example.

My understanding is that a maul isn’t a tackle. And once Maul is called all players have to stay on their feet. So if you go in high and hold them up you should be ok. But that’s a huge risk, because if you both fall over it becomes a tackle.

But until we get the RFU updates we can’t do much as coaches. Other than to teach our boys how to tackle lower. But tackling is a confidence issue at U12 level where some boys are just naturally much bigger.
