I wonder what the weather will be like in Edinburgh this evening?
Gloucester need a big win, but I can’t see it happening.

I will be watching Castres vs Bath.

My bargain 5 quid a month subscription pays dividends on European weekends.

The Irish ref is giving Bath a real hard time. Already on their 2nd yellow.

Soiunds like an excellent performance and thumping win for Bath!

Sorry for the lack of updates. Got into a Watts App conversation.

They got stronger, the longer the game went on.
Some of the Castres players must have thought they were playing football.
So much play acting, trying to milk penalties and cards.
It’s becoming very much part of the game in France, unfortunately.

When I was at school, our Head used to captain Wales

He was renowned as the only captain to be able to stop a pack of Welsh miners swearing in the scrum

Play acting was rather discouraged as dishonourable

I was one allowed to move from Prop to Number 8 for a few minutes because carrying on with blood pouring from a head wound was not a good thing as prop!!!

Sounds like defence was optional - Bristol's defence coach returning to their skills of last season.
Mind you a good win away in that well known European country, Saffaland, and at altitude

Watched the Bath highlights on YouTube. Some pretty marginal yellow cards nearly ruined it but the Bath bomb saw them home.

What a difference a week makes, as Saints seem to have forgotten to pack their mojo for their Bordeaux trip.
They are being taken apart by the champions, who have a bonus point in the first half.

As good as they were last week, this display has been littered with errors and compounded by yellow cards.

Saints just about avoided a complete massacre by gaining a try bonus point, but at times that looked as if they had never played together.
Some unsavoury stuff from the French superstar wingers. Both caught screaming into the faces of Saints players.

The ref was a bit useless throughout.

Was it a reaction to Pollock's histrionics?

He did go full Pollock after beating Penaud to the ball for his first try and he was screamed at. However, it was little Louis who stripped him of the ball who got in his face in celebration.

Ollie Sleightholme got even worse treatment from Penaud, which resulted in a penalty.
