I did see a nice Octavia for sale in Felixstowe over the weekend, but there may be a problem getting the mobility scooter in the boot

We've put down our deposit, collecting from near my parents in Newbury in a fortnight.

Mrs Legs has been offered an Audi Q8 as a company car, so we are taking the leap, as a family, to ditching the infernal combustion engine altogether. The BIK is quite steep because she's a higher rate taxpayer, but it gets us out of all the responsibility of owning, managing and paying for our own cars (tax, insurance, servicing and repairs, fuelling, tyres and other running costs, depreciation).

There's an automated system for reimbursing us for when we use our home charger to fill it, and she's got a charge card for the few occasions when we might need to charge away from home, so, besides the BIK, it's pretty much free motoring.

Well, after just over a year of happy PHEV motoring, our Octavia will be going on the market shortly...

I received the '25/'26 renewal quotation yesterday…

I had been expecting another 25-30% rise
However, it’s gone down!!

Granted, not by much, only 12%
£317.17

I will be asking questions/revising the policy
- i dont need ‘business cover’, as wife has sold her business/retired
- I think it’s agreed on a 20,000mile average
(in the last 2years, it’s covered about 11,000miles!)
- any discount nowadays, for F&R dashcams?
I received the renewal email a couple of days ago
The requested premium has gone up!!!

The quotation is for; £320.41
i am tempted to ring & ask for a recalcuation based on mileage, but I think I've asked before, and minimal difference is made

EDIT @ 09:45
I've just spoken to our daughter, she tells me their insurance was £1190

'72'(?) plate X5 (petrol twin-turbo)
He; 30(?)
She; 25

I'll have had my Kodiaq 5 years tomorrow (can't guarantee having time to get on here)
In that time, it's covered 31,354 miles, based on the current display, since purchase
(my previous Octavia, probably covered that, in its first year of ownership!)

It's not done many miles in the past 3 years
(and, only 4,886, between last & present MOT tests)

Taken in June 2021, this is a ford known as The Lee

Hi guys, a quick question for you all. Aside from Autotrader and the like is there a Skoda specific site on-line where Skoda cars get listed for sale?

I'm on the look out for a 2018 Superb estate with the 2ltr engine and DSG gearbox. Mileage isn't a major consideration (my Merc is at 198,000) but my budget is going to be roughly £7k.
