Another Hertfordshire cyclist here. .🤔 I must have missed this one , I’m not sure which bike shop / cafe you’re referring to ?

@TheDoctor is right, it was the Handle Bar cafe / Kinetic Cycles just off the Market Square in Hitchin. I believe Kinetic still have a shop in Welwyn, but the cafe in Hitchin shut a good couple of years back.

Thanks CT never used that cafe . Cycling on my own I normally avoid town centre cafes. On club rides I have used 2 Hitchin cafes one in a small old style shopping arcade and one just outside the town centre opposite a bike shop . Can’t remember there names but both nice good value cafes with decent coffee . I agree with your comments a cycle cafe / bike shop can make the ” civilians” Feel its not for them.

The one in a small arcade - Hatters? It's got tables outside. Bacon and sausage baguette, mug of tea and change from a fiver
The other one is probably Hitchin Kitchen Cafe. It's opposite Pauls Bikes, which used to be C J Frost a few years back.

I'm far too familiar with all the local cafes...
