Can't we just nick the Basque flag, and claim it was ours all along?

I don't think we want to p*** the Basques off. They are not known for being able to hold their tempers in check particularly when it comes to anything to do with their nation.

Let's just have a white flag and call it “Broken Britain" as that's the way we're going
But didn't they just say this is the land of hype? (This might be a topographical error.)

have St George's cross, but with lower half with green background (for Wales) and slap the Welsh dragon thingy on top of it.
Anyone fancy rustling up a demo?
Wales is a principality, which is why its not represented on the current Union Flag.

1. I'm sure it would survive - as said it's become more than just a national flag. probably would become rare in Scotland.
2. I'm confident that the Scots will say no. It would save us from being a one party Tory state this side of the border, but the downside is that we'll have to go on subsidising them.

If the vote is yes can we have verse 6 of the national anthem sung at all future England v Scotland sports fixtures?

Lord grant that Marshal Wade
May by thy mighty aid
Victory bring
May he sedition hush
And like a torrent rush
Rebellious Scots to crush
God save the Queen

If Scotland becomes independent then Rump of UK (RUK) can decide for itself about its flag and sing what it likes at sports matches.

I'm always interested in claims of subsidies. If Scotland wasindependent Scots wouldn't have subsidised the Olympics or pay for HS2.

I hope it's a landslide victory, whichever side wins in the independence vote. If it's a close run thing then I can see this independence referendum being held every few years, ad nauseam, until the SNP get the result they want.
