Thats fighting talk from where I am from
Strangely it's mainly Yorkshire people (see definition above) who say that.Anyway the war of the Roses was not a county war, it was a war of toffs. One of the main Lanc houses was in Pontefract, says it all really about them lancastrians
have St George's cross, but with lower half with green background (for Wales) and slap the Welsh dragon thingy on top of it.

From the BBC:
On BBC's Question Time programme earlier this month, the SNP's Alex Neil said the Queen was monarch in 16 countries and she would remain head of state in Scotland. That dragon looks a little camp to me: "Rwoar! I'm going to get you! Scratchy scratchy!"
Calling @ohnovino ... find out where she is king of (The Queen is head of state all over the place but we do not put their flag on the union flag.
That's a TMN to someone.Wales is a principality, which is why its not represented on the current Union Flag.
and what will we call it, the United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland? The United Kingdom of England, Wales and Northern Ireland?
Sounds logical...it would certainly make the flag more elegant and less 'busy'
