What do you expect in football? Rugby's your man every time.;)

They don't cheat at rugby?;)

I give you ....... Dean Richards to name but one!

And another Leicester player - Neil Back

Cheating in sport is dispicable and there is NO place for it.

If there is TV evidence that shows blatant cheating, then the authorities HAVE to act to preserve the name of sport.

And let's face it; this wasn't just any old game of football!

Every single striker that has ever played football has played outside the rules at some point.
Being awarded a penalty isn't always luck you know!

A sickening way to exit. Over the course of the 2 games we didn't have much luck. lost to a deflected goal and one that should have been disallowed twice (Henry was also offside in the replays). As regards flowing football Noodley you obviously haven't seen the French play recently. They have a number of good individual players who can turn a game, but flowing football it ain't. Ireland had enough chances over the course of the 2 games to be well clear. I'll be the first to admit we got some lucky breaks over the course of the qualifiers, but just didn't seem to get any in the play-offs. Still the "big" teams are in so the sponsors are happy. And Henry will make a few more endorsement deals as a result of his actions.

The question was, was he cheating. YES. He knew what he was doing.
So what happens now? Well nothing - sadly. The Irish nation were cheated.
Is it too late to disallow the goal with video evidence! Or just ban Henry from the rest of the games.

for those who haven't seen it...

«Thierry Henry, que s'est-il passé exactement sur le but de William Gallas ?
Il y a main, mais je ne suis pas l'arbitre. A la base, c'est Toto (Squillaci) qui va à la lutte de la tête. Moi, je suis derrière deux Irlandais. La balle rebondit, tape ma main, l'arbitre ne siffle pas... Je continue à jouer, mais bien sûr qu'il y avait main...
