Things I can never remember

I can never remember the names of my own children. There are only two so it shouldn't be that hard!

My mother didn't have that problem. Just ask my brothers, whatsit and oojimaflip.

I can never remember any of the clever poems to help me remember things!
But seriously, the biggest one for me , at work anyway , is that I can never remember if it's positive first or negative when connecting a battery!!

Neither, It is 'earth strap last' (the one that bolts to the car body)

Most cars are negative 'earth' but not all.

Often when I am 2 miles down the road - "Did I lock the garage door this morning?"
- Sometimes I have to turn round and go back and check.

Driving home having visited our son in Warrington I was thinking did I pick up my phone, should I get my Good Lady to check my coat pocket, coat laid on the back seat. Just then I heard it, I'd got a message so could stop worrying about it.

On holiday once and got back to the car. Rested my camera on the roof while I took my jacket off and drove off, forgetting I'd left the camera on the roof. At the next stop, got out and my camera was still there! The wrist strap had dropped down and had been trapped by the door.

We have drawstring curtains in the living room. I open and close them every night. After 20 years I still can't remember which of the two cords opens them and which closes them....I just pull one at random, and if it doesn't work I pull t'other.

I've done that a couple of times with stuff from the chippy, all that is left was a greasy mark in the roof!
