Why is my electric bill still the same when renewable energy makes it cheaper to produce electricity?

You could be right. One of my colleague's husband is into modding his Insignia.

Oh my God! Who in their right mind would waste money modding an Insignia..

He's in the Vauxhall Owner's Club, or something. He used to have a modded Zafira, and they take a caravan to the show at Billing Aquadrome near Northampton every year, and she moans about the youngsters with Corsas who make too much noise.

I still have one of these:

I won it about 100 years ago at a work tennis day .... I still have loads of my old cassette tapes from the 70's and 80's and it still sounds good .... I used to use it daily when I went fishing after work (I used to live in South Africa in a place right by the beach/sea)

I often get tempted to sell it as they are fetching good money, but it has 'sentimental' value
I had one too. Fantastic! It would fit in the pocket of your ski jacket and you could glide down the Col de Mines with Kim Wilde playing.

Heaven really.

Thinking about it further, probably the biggest thing I don't get is London. I have to go there for work every so often. Even though its the capital of my country it feels like a foreign land. Everyone seems in a mad hurry and no allowance is made for the uninitiated visitor. On my first visit I inadvertently committed the apparently cardinal sin of standing on the 'wrong' side of an escalator. (Is it only London that has this practice?). And I remember trying to buy a tube ticket from a machine where the first thing you have to enter is your 'zone'. How am I supposed to know what zone I'm in ? And I only discovered by accident after several visits that having bought a DLR ticket from the City airport I didn't need to buy a second ticket when I joined the tube. How are you supposed to know these things ?
