I am easily irritated, and most things annoy me from time to time, but irritating neighbours don't just go away, so I thought I'd have a rant and you can join in if you like. Let's see who is the most petty;)
My immediate neighbour put an ugly old shed right against my fence, so now instead of seeing my pretty blue fence, a little red brick and the sky, all I see is the ugly old shed roof. I've also just had to go along the path we share between houses to access my electric meter and his bins and recycling box and a christmas tree are in the way!!!:cursing:

Second irritatant isn't even a neighbour, they live round the corner and on the opposite side of the road, but they park their second car on the path closest to my garden wall. And last week she had the cheek to move my bins which were waiting to be emptied so that she could park there!!!!

Third irritant, and I know this is a ridiculous one to complain about - has an ambulance in attendance at least three times a week. Sometimes twice in a day. And they either wake me in the middle of the night or block our driveway when we're trying to get in or out.

I also hate the fact that a person I used to work with, who made several complaints about me , now lives directly across the road from me, but she probably feels the same and she did live here first.

Bin men wear gloves. She probably won't. Next time you put the bins there, smear something nasty on the handles...

Other ideas for revenge - buy a bit of motor oil (prob. any oil will do) and pour a bit under her engine while her car's parked there. Or drop a random nut or two... Hopefully you won't have to helpfully point it out...

I'm fortunate our neighbours are ok. One does have the habit of building stuff and not finishing it but I can't see it from my house (large concrete block building in his back garden).

I suppose it's the ones that leave their gardens a complete tip. The gardens are open plan so look a mess if not kept reasonable.. We just have Mr Builder who spent ages block paving his driveway then never maintaining it so it's full of weeds. He had some guys clean them out but the weeds soon grew back. Mr Builder also killed off a massive tree by hacking at it. Fortunately it fell on Christmas day without taking any cars or houses with it. Pure luck.

A girl I work with was telling me recently that 2 of her neighbours have been having a dispute over everything and nothing. Apparently one of these neighbours bought an old banger of a car and has parked it in front of their house so the second neighbour cant park there. The 2nd neighbour then parked their car across the driveway of another neighbour and when the person whose drive was blocked complained it turned into a whole row and almost fistycuffs between the husbands. How can anyone park over another persons drive and think its ok and to top it off argue when the person complains!

Parking is a nightmare. We've been the only family to run just one car on most of the streets we've lived on (and we use our drive). In our last house, next door (a car for every adult of driving age, plus a taxi) the cheeky basts would park on our drive, if they thought we were out.

At this house, neighbours park on the road in front of our house (not too much of a problem, unless the guy with a massive van can't be bothered to block his own light, and parks in front of our windows). One neighbour views the space nearest our gates as their own, and has got into arguments with other neighbours over it. We occasionally get people blocking our drive ("Just for a minute") while they use the shops at the top of the road, or visit other people on the street.

Dirty oil works better, moreso if it's their pride and joy.

You should thank your lucky stars YOU don't need an ambulance in attendance daily..

I think you need to chill OP life is too short to be getting wound up by these little nuisances.
Do you have depression or something like that? because often with this people can get upset/irritated about things that would normally just go over their heads.
I'm not sitting here fuming about the irritations, I note that they irk me, and then I move on. I just felt like sharing. Telling someone who may be suffering with depression to "chill" isn't at all helpful though, you might want to think before making remarks like that. As it happens I was recently diagnosed with depression, but that is neither here nor there.

If the neighbour "has an ambulance in attendance at least three times a week. Sometimes twice in a day" then in all probability neither do they...

I know. I know. But I am so nosey that I think it irritates me more that I don't know why they need an ambulance so often!!!

We have been through a bad patch with our neighbour's teenage daughter who was dating a feckless yob, which attracted a whole crew of idiots who hung around all evening in the street shouting, dropping litter and generally being a pain in the arse. The lad would be dropped every afternoon in the street by his Mum then would go up for a takeaway and eventually get a taxi home late at night. We couldn't understand what kind of parent would collect their child from school then drop him every day of the week in another street five miles away. This went on even after the lad fell out with the girl, there was a barney, her front door got some glass broken and the Police were involved.

Our local beat officer waded in and banned four of the idiot crew from the street with ABCs, or Acceptable Behaviour Contracts and also issued Section 59 notices to two of their pals who were in the habit of racing up and down on their mopeds. It worked and for the last three months we've had blissful peace, though we are still keeping our fingers tightly crossed..

Some neighbour disputes make their way to the criminal court.

I recall one where the aggrieved party painted the other bloke's house black when he was away for the weekend.

Just the front, although he did include the windows.

Another dispute turned genuinely ugly when one man seriously assaulted another and, quite rightly, got a few years in prison for it.

That was over the neighbour's external light shining into thuggy man's window.

@Globalti , nice to see the Police have made an effort and sorted the situation out for you!

I suppose that could happen anywhere, why the daughters parents didn't step in long before that is anyones guess..

Perhaps they did,and that made him appear ever so much more attractive!
