I'm pretty sure that they were in a rice paper outer. The chocolate was dreadful. Were the chocolate cigarettes wrapped in edible paper to resemble real ones?
I used to award myself the CDM.

My dad worked at English Electric/Gec in Whetstone, the bike sheds took up as much room as the car park in the 60s.I don't know if anyone has said this before and it may seem obvious but cycling to work played a major role in what we used to do.
A lot of us probably cycled to school or used them to do their paper rounds. It was an easy way to get to see your friends who lived across the other side of town.
In my home town in the late sixties traffic would come to a standstill at dinner time as the workforce went to dinner on their bikes. I can even remember seeing railway workmen cycling along the side of the track to where they were working.
On the way to junior school we used to Pop into an old bakehouse where we could buy sweets , sometimes they would have freshly baked buns for a penny in old money.
