Yes, that's what I said.
Not exactly fishy lol but it won't work, the mullet's head is too soft.

What's a lump hammer?
You mean a normal hammer with a metal head - opposite to a mullet that has a rubber head?

I think the posh term is a club hammer, but I'd call it a lump hammer as well.

Metal hammers have many different types of head for different purposes - claw, ball pein, etc.

lump hammer has a stumpy wooden handle and a big lump of a metal head. It's a bit like a sledgehammer with a sawn off handle. Similar to what how I imagine Mjöllnir might look.

Mullets on the other hand are fish that are distinguished by the presence of two separate dorsal fins, small triangular mouths, and the absence of a lateral line organ.

Stumpy wooden handle? Be careful of not hammering your hands lol, I have dismantled many pallets during lock down.
Never injured myself, may I add :becool:

Also a men's hairstyle, no?
I googled it!
Mullet, mallet, English as a third language here, you know what I mean, something to bash stuff

The man that used to repair my dad's lorry had what basically a 12lb sledge hammer with the handle cut down to about 8" and he could weld it single handedly like a light claw hammer when knocking out spring shackle pins or whatever. He must have had incredible strength.

A mullet mallet won't work for that, you really need a crowbar and a hammer

For that you need a pallet buster. I got mine at Screwfix.

No, a lump hammer is rather like a short-handled sledge hammer.

A mallet may be either rubber or wooden head - I have both, and use them fairly often. I also have a lump hammer, a full size sledge hammer, a wood splitting maul, and a couple of claw hammers, and a geologist hammer. Oh, and a small ball-pein hammer.

Lots of mentions of opening tins

Just yesterday I was reading an article saying how tins were invented to keep food eatable for a long time

but no-one invented a tin opener for years afterwards

so initially - that was what you used to open a tin of food!!!

and on Scout camps when I was a Scout - at times!!!
