Cut and nailed some floorboards.

Did some plastering

Built a bike from bits- I've done most of this before but have never fitted a headset (no press, used washers, bit of studding and some nuts). I think that was the only new job involved.

Entered a 'cross race without doing training. Not recommended.

I let a stranger take out my gallbladder.

Next year i am letting another stranger put my squint straight.

I've been learning quite a lot about DIY, and bonding plastering a wall is my best achievement.

I'm hoping to have a go at finish plastering next year, see if I'm any good at that.

I will be doing a room next week. Not done any plastering for 5 years. There are some good tutorials on utube or links from Wikes website. I love plastering but it is hard work if you are not used to it.
My tip - Work out size and right quantity of plaster for the wall, then you know if thickness is right by how much you use.

I am building a staircase at the moment (from scratch not a kit) to go in a loft conversion. Change is as good as a rest.
