Went out and did a short 20 miles today and must say it was the first time this year it has felt like spring was in the air. Just the right temperature (forgetting the constant head wind) it was a joy to ride. Long may it continue.
Yes..........it was a pleasure to be out. Like yourself the head wind was cool on the way out but when the sun came out it was BEAUTIFUL
My problem was what to wear as I do suffer from the cold. Put a base layer under my leggings, went outside and thought "toooo much" so went back inside and took them off...........good decision.
Have only been doing 10-15 milers thro winter but tried & made a 31 miler today. Knackered but happy.

Did the same wasn't intending to do a long ride as I have only just got over a chest infection from last weekend and still have a cough, but ended up doing 19miles and loved every minute of it, temperature was just right for tights and my outer jacket, with fingerless gloves, not too cold but still a bit chilly in the shade or on the faster sections.

Roll on Easter weekend my even get a couple of rides over the long weekend???

Lightning hit the ground about 15m to my right when I was out today. It wasn't even raining. I was dawdling along in a world of my own. I'd say it was quite a shock, but could've been worse.
Wow thats enough to get the heart racing, where abouts was that?
