Thinking about getting a Zwift, any good?

Hello Sophie. We are slightly biased but Zwift is fantastic. You can ride socially, competitively or just for training with dedicated workouts. This is our race from yesterday- me

Once you get going, there are a few other bits to join , but are straightforward. These help with seeing events and your results from racing.

zwift kept me motivated over winter when i couldnt ride outside due to injury , i recommend it

You are looking at an outlay of a few hundred upwards. Basic Smart Turbo will be £200 (Tacx T2240), add in an Ant+ dongle for a laptop. Zwift will run on a phone, but the screen is small. Also a fan to keep cool.

I've stopped my Zwift as I'm back commuting at least 3 days a week ! Far better training.

Try and Zwift somewhere cool - garage for me, otherwise you will overheat. Do you already have a laptop or something ? I started Zwifting after a broken spine (whilst commuting) 7 years ago.

i stopped zwifting as soon as i could get back on the road too , its great though if you cant get out and dont want to stop

your as nuts as me , mind you i think mrs ck would have told me to stop if she knew i was using a step to get on/off at the time still in a sling when i toasted my collar bone pre surgery

I only zwift in the winter to set me up for the better weather. The new zwift turbo looks good.
You will need a fan.

I had my sister go out and buy a turbo for me whilst I was still in hospital - they were on offer ! (I'd lent mine to a mate that subsequently vanished to Scotland).

Possibly a mat as well if the bike is on carpet as you'll drip !
