Just got a Peugeot Energy 100 mtb £44 in a bike auction my +1 for the winter. Needs a few things out of personal choice but rideable as is.

Neji-saurus pliers for my birthday on Tuesday

Off to try them out on my worn out suitcase wheel axles.

Puddles

Do I need to get the spray plaster out?
Some gloves for cycling for the eldest.

I was supposed to book but forgot (oops) the MOT and lessons for maintenance/fixing for his Birthday in October from the bikey fixey man!

Bought one of these

so that I could use TrekBuddy on my rather elderly BlackBerry Pearl, then realised that the clamp isn't big enough for my 1 1/4" bars.

However reading various reviews of bike/phone mounts, mainly reports of various smartphones ending up in bits on the road, I may well have had a narrow escape as I'm rather fond of my BlackBerry.

I'm tending towards the low-tech approach, stuffing the BB in my jersey pocket and taking it out when I'm lost.

Just ordered 2 off Cree XML T6 lights to complement my Busch & Mueller lights.

Will use one on the bars and one as a head torch.

Gets dark round here at night, not like the cities where there's just an orange glow.....

Also ordered a chain keeper, a chain catcher, a bunch of brake pads and inter tubes, spare chains and cassettes, Crees from eBay, Cruds, high5 race pack and a bunch of electrolyte tabs. Very impressed with all the Sportful gear and love the Gore gilet. Only thing I returned was an Adidas Tour gilet, which was a horrible fit - quite baggy on the sides.

DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
I've been on a bike buying spree:

2014 Whyte 805 ordered from Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative under the C2W scheme.
Viking Targa DD24 MTB bought via Gumtree
SPD pedals/covers for my youngest's road bike to go with the Christmas present Spuik SPD shoes.

Also, contemplating a 1963 BSA Tour of Britain.
