U.F.O. was my favourite Anderson series. It was adtually quite dark at times.
I think you modelled yourself on Peter Gordino Drago!!

Actually Gerry Anderson has a bunch of stuff that's great, Space 1999 is one I've had on the back burner for a long time. Saw one episode where the baddy was tricked into thinking he would return to Earth, but was actually doomed to die alone. I've had that one with me for 30 years and it still scares me.
Early 1980s![]()

I started out watching the Woodentops and Andy Pandy, then to the proper stuff as time went on. The Jerry Anderson series were filmed at a small studio in Slough I believe. Wonder if they had a David Brent type manager pulling all the strings![]()

Andy Pandy and Spotty the dog! Such wonderful memories!🧐 You didn't mention 'Ooh flob a lob'. You must know who I mean by that.😉

I preferred Captain Scarlet , i did have the series on dvd at one point .
Whilst I also avidly watched Captain Scarlet, as I did any and all sci-fi back then, somehow the premise seemed a bit thin even to 8 year old me. Every week the Mysterons would give notice as to their elaborate plans, as if they were setting training exercises for Spectrum. It made no sense. If they wanted to cause trouble why not just blow whatever it was up and be done with it?
As an aside I liked the Dinky toy vehicles my cousin had, both the tanky SPV thing and the white vehicle of no clear purpose
. Social workers would stop that today.Aloysius Parker, quite simply the coolest TV character of all time, "Yes M'Lady"
The 2004 live-action film, directed by Jonathon (“Number 1”) Frakes also starred Ron Cook, as ParkerIn the live action film Anthony Edwards, of ER game, played Brains. He is one of the only good things about that film.
