Indeed. Fitting full mudguards is a pain, hence why I can't understand those that take them off in Spring and re-install in Autumn.

Servicing hubs is a pain too to get the right pre-load.

Well done!!
Next mantra to remember: bottom bracket left side right thread ... unscrews clockwise ... sort of like the pedals but not exactly like the pedals ... I think  gonna practice on an old bike before operating on my poor Boris.
I am lucky that my delightful neighbours keep abandoning old BSOs for me to practice on :pump:

Putting new shifters, deraileur, chairing, bar tape tonight, I'm hoping that doesn't take two nights as I want to ride on Thursday. I'm also wanting to change the cassette on the spare wheels and put wider tyres on but that can wait.
It did and I missed last nights ride. It took me a while to figure out the internal routing and the cable lengths required, it wasn't a straight swap for my previous externally routed cables. Even the brake cables that were internally routed before, needed to be cut to a different length due to the new shifter interface.

Told you so!
That's why we need at least 2 bikes that can do the same job: 2 commuters, 2 racers, 2 tourers ...
