The rim seems to be a little bit more worn than I thought!
smiley as I've already decided to replace it with a Superstar Components wheelset I've had as spares for a while. I knew it was bad, but didn't realise it was THAT bad - that wheel's just got to do another week & a bit of commuting before it get's junkedAll fully recyclable metal. It seems a shame to dump a working hub just because the rim has worn out.
Yebbut, you still have unnecessary manufacturing costs. A half-decent hub should last for years and years. All fully recyclable metal.
Just checked the original order for these wheels (Fulcrum Racing 3.5s) and I've had them for over six years of which at least three were were on this bike which is the main all weather commuter. The front wheel has also got simiar wear to the rear above, but they both still spin nice & smoothly.Yebbut, you still have unnecessary manufacturing costs.
