I had potted shrimp on my toast this morning. First time I've had it - what a disappointment, £2.99 for a small pot of the proper Morecambe Bay ones, bland as you like.

Is there such thing as spicy pickle? or did I read wrong?
We make loads of savoury pickles jams and marmalades,we do spiced ketchup with the tomato gluts,red chilli and Tom pickles scotch bonnet and runner bean pickle,and copious amounts of rhubarb and marrow pickle,red onion marmalade is a favourite

That doesn't sound very yummy... the pepper on peanut butter and banana part...

Pepper is a good way to bring out the sweetness in things - I think it's good on strawberries too.

Mrs Psycolist enjoys microblasted tomatoes on her toast, but my preference is for the so far unmentioned LEMON CURD, i'm dribbling just thinking about it. Toast left tented to cool off, proper butter, Anchor by choice, layered on with a generous coating of afore mentioned LEMON CURD. Oh, and the bread has to be thick cut, ready sliced, factory made rubbish, none of this healthy toot. :hungry:

I sometimes buy unsalted butter from Tesco's... is Anchor any better than Tesco's brand?
