This. I've just bought one, it's brilliant.

umm, what is it ?
It's a chain keeper, with a brake pad separator built in. You put it where the wheel was, when you take the wheel off. It keeps the chain off of the floor / frame, and stops the brakes from closing out. The little sprocket is removeable, so you can choose to put it on the front or back, dependant on circumstance.

ah I see. Not sure why you'd want to put it on the front though, but I understand for the back.
Not sure I could be arsed mind, but I do see the point

If you're transporting the bike, it stops the front forks from flexing, and getting accidentally bent / cracked. The amount of times I've accidentally squeezed the brake levers, with the wheels off, and had hot brake pads weld themselves together, makes it all worthwhile.

Yebbut, you only do it once, unless you are Homer Simpson.

Anyway haven't you got a plastic filler wedge to put between the brake pads?

I'm going to hazard a guess that's for disk brakes the little dangler.. that's the only bit I can't work out! otherwise a pretty awesome bit of kit! could do with something like it when I do a lazy back wheel whip off and have to precariously place it down gently as it rests carefully on the derailleur as I do rear wheel work.. it's way to much work to whip it upside down!
