Yes I can, Yes I am, Yes I did...Repeat.
We have a flood warning issued by the local paper so its going to be bad. 70-80mph winds , flooding etc. The advice was to place all valuable items upstairs. Id rather see them drown that offer them up to the wicked witch upstairs though.
So far so good, no lifejacket required. Hope nobody gets hurt this time.

Well, it's wet and it's windy where I am but we're likely to be sheltered from the worst of it. However, the Severn is already bank full so if it's very wet in Wales I'd expect the usual low lying areas to flood in the next few days.

You should be an advisor to the local council. They'll not realise that until its too late.

Nah, they're fairly clued up round here. The flood barriers go up in plenty of time and they put out boards warning people to use park & ride rather than trying to park up in the town centre.

There's always the odd ones that completely ignore the advice though:

What is with the wind lately? Usually we get the tailend of what america get but this has been at least a week of heavy rain and really strong winds, isnt it meant to be cold and snowing in December?

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Very wet and windy as well as dark. Water tanks are all overflowing. We have 5 1000 litre water tanks and all of them are overflowing. Water is bubbling up through the ground. The stream running down the side of my house is high, but there is no possibility that we will be flooded. Thank god.

Bored rigid of the hysteria. A friend is banging his head against a brick wall re visas for his wife and baby daughter so had to watch the Philippines get battered and destroyed with no way of knowing how they were. Their house was completely destroyed but thankfully they had managed to get to her mother's so were both OK. This is just a bit of wind and rain.

We have a brook running underneath our house. It's only flooded twice and that was within 2 months of moving in, ten years ago.

So it's about a fortnight until the hosepipe ban?

How did you guess. MR Dragon always wants to be prepared for just about anything. To be honest if the water pipe was to burst we could not afford to have it repaired, as the pipe goes a quarter of a mile down the road before it gets to the metre, cosf of repair would be horrendous, so at least we could
hook the tanks up to the mains and use it.

Wet and windy here but today may be my last opportunity to go out on the bike until Saturday. Unless things get worse, I'll be going out as soon as Mrs Dang gets in from work.

just popped my head outside the office and am now worrying about cycling back home tonight. It's more than a bit gusty.
