Are they a man only phenomenon?

What's in yours?

What makes a good read?

I currently have 'Elephants on Acid' and a damned good read it is too. Back up is provided by maps covering Budapest to Constanta on Eurovelo Six and November's Gauge O Guild Magazine.

I think they're the phenomenon of people who don't eat enough fibre.

My library is not bad, but it hasn't got toilets - you have to go into the carpark outside. (where the toilets are - not to go to the toilet)

A man died in there a few years ago - in the toilet not the library

I once fell asleep in the outside toilet of the Turks Head in Darlington and woke up well after closing time.

Here is a swimming pool that I had a skinny-dipping/love-making-on-a-diving-board session at.

Back to the library theme.....

What makes for a good read:

Something challenging like: ' À la recherche du temps perdu' in the native tongue of the author

or

Fat Freddie's Cat compendium in easily read page length installments...

Have you been looking in my toilet? I've got a copy of A l'ombre des jeunes filles en fleurs - it's been there untouched for about 3 years, open on page 248. There was a sentence about half a page long that I reread about 5 times without really having a clue what it was saying because by the time I got to the end of it, I'd forgotten the beginning. The Robert Dictionnaire des expressions et locutions sits on top of it and gets read regularly.

I've also got a reasonably large collection of poetry in there.
