Missus and youngest are out so its me and 14 year old comp swimmer for dinner:

Nothing fresh I'm afraid because late-stage capitalist life is too short on time

Local supermarket (in Norway this means about the size of a UK petrol station shop) has offer on 3for2 packs of chicken wings. Us boys eat a pack of these (8 each) with home-made creamy tomato pasta.

Spanish omelette (potato, courgette, red pepper, onion & garlic) with a side of tabbouleh - the latter made with fresh herbs from the garden.

Carrot, onion & red lentil dhal, basmati rice and mint raita.

The perfect antidote to a weekend of naughty-ish eating. Although I can't deny that marmalade bread & butter pudding made with the last packet of HCB and gold top (Jersey) milk was bloody lovely. :mrpig:

Cottage pie / Shepherds pie, I can never remember which is which but it's my own concoction anyway..
Minced beef, mushroom, onion, mashed potato and grated cheese on top.
With swede, cabbage and gravy.

I LOVE it, wife enjoyed hers, 8yo did ok, 4 yo didn't really touch it

Crab and Italian salami piccante linguini with a little Parsley from the garden and steamed purple sprouting broccoli.

Surprisingly good, though I say so myself:hungry:

Tonight's culinary efforts resulted in vegetable & noodle soup*, then a leek, mushroom & stilton risotto*, and roast mediterranean veggies (shallot, garlic, baby plum tomatoes, sweet peppers and courgette). :mrpig:

* made with gammon stock from the joint I cooked last week.

the rest of the chestnut mushrooms, chopped and tossed in butter, popped in a pot with stilton on top and baked for a good while. The left-over roasted veg with chunky chips and a slice of gammon with the stilton/mushroom juice as gravy. It was very flavoursome.

Leek, stilton and sage quiche, buttered new potatoes and a Waldorf salad.

Used up a bunch of random items in the fridge, so feeling rather virtuous. And yes, I've cooked a lot with leek recently - I have a stash in as it was on a *very* good offer, added to the fact that the packs were some 50% bigger than stated on the wrapper. Only two leeks left after making the quiche, so I'm thinking leek bhajis...
