too hot to handle

Am I the only one currently languishing indoors wondering it's better to wait a bit before heading out.
This heats giving me issues.

Nope. Me too. I have been spending nearly all day indoors with a fan on the last few days. Heat, but particularly high humidity really makes me feel quite rough physically and mentally.

Thank goodness we are forecast thunder tonight and tomorrow morning which should clear the air and we look like being back to autumnal temperatures by Tuesday morning.

I went out at 1600 yesterday for a ride, it was arguably nicer to have the breeze and feel cool than being inside.

No ride today though, overdid the sauce last night 🍻

Yesterdays ride on Calder Valley Greenway, panniers are empty but soon got filled with goodies at the shop on the way home.

We had the grandkids yesterday
They are always pestering to go to the park - so I took them yesterday morning

They just couldn;t be bothered playing - too hot

never mind - it has been raining all day today - according to BBC weather - Met Office said it was raining most of the morning
must have been virtual rain becuase the flags are dry - but at least the temperature has dropped

I find the short journey home with full bag quite unnerving. The rattling and clanking is scary.,however not had any losses.

I do have to say that the heat is far less of a problem when cycling

I was out the other day and it was fine - until I reached traffic lights when it was very unpleasant as I had to stop
Naturally I hit ever red light around!

I went well too deep in the heat of yesterday's TT. It was OK when I was moving but when I stopped I got out this morning when it was more amenable stopping at circa 10am for a coffee but when I got back at circa noon I could feel it was getting too warm again

What a superb sense of taste! Red / Black bike ( scientifically proven to be the fastest of any other colour combination) Red Ergon grips, black Brooks Cambium C17 and to top it all a bottle of London Porter. Chapeau sir!

It was bad here last week, but not too bad yesterday and quite a bit cooler today.

That said, beer would be my first choice as well.
