Well, that changes things!! Mind you, they are only coming up the usual way once, need to check out the other route

Get out early and depending where you are staying descend via the sarenne or that descent I linked to and ride up the Alpe. take your time because you will be being cheered on by the spectators and bound to be others cycling up there. might even get 2 days riding in so you could descend, turn left and ride to eg les Deux Alpes if you have time or just the route I mentioned in reverse

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
I like that. Hold your TT specialist until about 5km out, then release them?

Dumb question time, I've not been concentrating properly. Does every rider in the team get the time of the first rider (provided they finish). Or does each rider get their own time?

Is there any more detail available than this overview?

Riding along a stage route in the morning after the roads have closed but before the caravan comes through is always great fun.

From Inner Ring: "“Paris-Nice” rules apply where the winning time is taken on the first rider from each team and every rider is credited with the time they took to ride the course. Got it?". The stage winner is also the team rather than the individual rider who was fastest.
