Word coming from L'Equipe that Seixas might be riding le tour this year rather than the Vuelta as apparently he wants a decent tilt at the Worlds.

Hopefully he hangs in and takes a stage (or the white jersey). Wouldn't wish a spell in yellow on him at this point in his career.

Wearing it on the final stage would probably be quite nice for him, though.

I think the Yates approach would be the most sensible route for him. Was it Adam in 2014 who did 10 days as a neo-pro?

Take all the pressure off him and at least give him the experience of going to the Tour, and the hooplah that surrounds it

Cav in 07 is another an example of a first timer struggling at the Tour only to come back and thrive

I think he should go to the Tour this year. The expectation is only going to get higher. He might a well go while Pogacar is considered unbeatable and get some experience.

At least next year they'll be able to roll out the 'We're bringing Seixas back' line.

Giro post-mortem:
I don't dispute Pog as favourite. But ...

... is there a sliver of light for Jonas fans in that; given their different Spring campaigns, maybe Pog is overcooked, and Jonas is just coming to the boil nicely?

(and JV really didn't seem to exert himself much in cruising to that win.)

My thinking, although probably nonsense.
Pog is the stronger rider but Jonas has just done a 3 week race so is fully prepared for that. Especially so as he wasn't pushed. Not clear cut.

Think we're into 'everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth' territory here, sadly, and it's not even clear who's going to punch him this year.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.

I'm not necessarily a Jonas fan but I always back the underdog.

It does seem that he's in better nick than the last two years, so reasons to feel positive for some GC entertainment. Esp with Seixas being there too.

Still can't see Pog not winning unless something drastic happens, like Lorena Wiebes lends him her bike
