He only made a couple of points on Girmay, 4 on Kanter and 6 on Philipsen. Better than losing points to them, obviously.
It's difficult to know who the main threat will be - Kooij isn't targeting it, but if he wins again today he'll put himself in a decent position to take it anyway with the new sprint stage scores. Girmay and Kanter obviously are targeting and Girmay has the ability to get in breaks to hunt points. Philipsen you'd expect to be focused on stage wins, but he'll contest points if the peloton come to them

He then made up a lot of places as the sprint started but used too much up pushing wind before getting boxed again. Not sure why Netcompany put so much into leading him out in that company.

Merliet moaning that only his team and Alpecin did any work but ultimateoly there was never really any work required as they kept the break on such a short leash. They didn't really give any other teams much opportunity to assist either as they just sat there all day.
