Drove from a Keycamp site in the Vosges to somewhere near Joinville to watch the TTT. Our first car with aircon, I was bemoaning its usefulness until Mrs Celine told me to touch the window glass. I nearly burnt my finger!
MIL used to send away for all sorts of junk which she then gave to us. That holiday's item was a beach tent which turned out to be a godsend on the side of a baking hot french road. We'd cower under its meagre shade and pop out to watch the teams whizz by -
