There was a thing in Canada last year(?) that he rolled in 20th or something, smiling, having obviously entered for a larf

What’s the thinking with chopping the start, trying to finish earlier? If so why not start a bit earlier? I appreciate logistics may be difficult and there’s TV slots but they may as well do the kms without TV as not do them at all.

They are starting later to end same time .... just less hours on the road ... Well 40 odd mins

Break.has to go at the Sprint. Makes it harder for trek.to.thin the field for Quinn or mads

Dogtrousers answered that quite well but generally when he enters, he enters to win. Or gift it to a teammate.
Those that were mentioned targeted GT races and skipped the rest.

I read a thing that said they can't start earlier than planned because the arrangements. (police, road closures etc) are all so complicated. Maybe they could hurry up the signing-on a bit but I don't think they have much wiggle room.
