I think pog has deffo been more prominent than any rider I can remember over the past 30yrs?

Big Mig, Lance (cheat excepted) froome etc...

Where Pog is different is that he doesn't just target the GCs unlike those you mentioned.
Or even Vingegaard.

What’s the thinking with chopping the start, trying to finish earlier? If so why not start a bit earlier? I appreciate logistics may be difficult and there’s TV slots but they may as well do the kms without TV as not do them at all.

They are starting later to end same time .... just less hours on the road ... Well 40 odd mins

Big Mig & the white Kenyan Froome cheats accepted as well.

I read a thing that said they can't start earlier than planned because the arrangements. (police, road closures etc) are all so complicated. Maybe they could hurry up the signing-on a bit but I don't think they have much wiggle room.

MvdP could be going into the break since Philipsen hasn't delivered a win yet. With Merlier having closed the points gap for the green jersey, Pedersen has to go. Trek would probably send him with Simmons and Vacek again. Healy and Baudin probably also fancy a shot. I expect the break to make it to the finish.

Yeah, Mads has said the aim is to do what they did stage 4, but the shortened route will make that more difficult
