Gotta remember those viewing figures. They bring in the big bucks.
Hyperbole is the name of the subscription game.

They do it for every rugby match, and would not doubt do it for Borthwick's dull England team too!

Jorgensen was the main hatchet man in VLAB's attempt to rough up Pogacar last year. Carapaz cost Del Toro a Giro, at least in their minds. UAE do not forgive or forget.

Yes - both have their names on the famous blacklist, though I think whatever it is with Jorgenson goes further back than last summer.
But yeah, the happy go lucky boy racer also rules his dominion with an iron fist

Anyway, a few bits and pieces from Danish TV - Mads P wouldn't let Skjelmose take a pull (Skjelmose wanted to but Mads wouldn't let him) as he didn't want to risk his GC. Vingegaard was interviewed on the evening show and seemed pretty relaxed and confident, will keep fighting all the way to Paris. He also says that he's a lot happier in the team now, gets more say over his race calendar and how often he has to be away on training camps and that it's something cycling in general needs to address - because cycling now is far harder than it used to be because of all the sports science and weighing your meals etc

EDIT:
And from Innrng - he suggests the route change was largely symbolic. They've got a heatwave emergency and the government want the public to take it seriously, so chopping a few kms off the front of te race allows them to say: "look, even the Tour is having to adapt"

My money is on Yates not getting the memo and accidentally telling the truth

Did MIg dope? Is that the only way to get 5 tdf?????🤔

You don’t need to do blood/urine tests sometimes. He was heavy & muscular yet could fly up steep mountains like a mountain goat. TT like a Jap sports motorbike.
Would often let himself totally go and then back into top shape in absolute no time. Even more so with Jan Ullrich.

That's a luxury if true. burning glycogen out of spite may not be a great idea in the long run .

This blacklist thing real ? Sounds embellished

It came from one of their riders, might have Pollit. He went as far as saying it was stuck to the fridge door on the team bus.
I don't think it's actually much more than "who we can't let in the break today for tactical reasons" but I'm also sure that Jorgenson would somehow be on it even if both he and Vingegaard were twenty minutes down
