I see the break are being given a massive 1.30" again today

The usual breakaway teams should just put their foot down and refuse to send anyone up the road. Didn't that happen on a stage last year? It will ultimately make it harder for the sprint teams to control a bunch of attacks from fresh riders towards the end.

The commentary is quite embarrassing. No way a full peloton can’t take back the break.
It’s only 2 seconds per kilometre.

It's the usual bigging up the stage thing they do these days. They don't seem to realise that a 20" gap or more can disappear easily in the final km when the proper leadouts start and the front riders are tiring. The one a few days ago where he was caught just inside 2km was a classic case.
