I was grazed by a disgarded Panini tossed from a 4x4 around here the other day. Quite harrowing, as it wasn't even correctly char-grilled, and so far as I could see, contained no sun-dried blush tomato or torn basil.

Bloody 4x4 owners. Panini are sooooooooo yesterday.....

Now I shoot air rifles and own several and this kind of thing just makes me sick to my stomache. Unfortunately I can't see any way they are ever going to control it as God knows who owns what.

I would be all for the retailers being a bit more responsible for their "it's just another sale" attitude, If folk have no land/permission/rifle club to justify buying a rifle, then they shouldn't be allowed to buy one in the first place.

The same rule should apply to ATV's, then we wouldn't run the risk of being ploughed into on Forest trails etc;)

Round here you never hear of folk getting knocked on the bonce, although there was a drive-by shouting once.

I think this has less to do with cycling, and more to do with the mentality of gaining respect for being the guy who shot someone famous. Innit.

Case in point: I went to a Madness concert last night. Now, I am well aware that Madness have their somewhat interesting background in skinhead culture etc. but it somewhat amused me to see people attempting to throw bottles of beer at Suggs and other band members (and, incidentally, other audience members). I say amused, because these bottles of beer were made of very lightweight plastic and were vastly overpriced (like at most festivals/gigs nowadays).

So these fools were spending a half hour or so queuing up to buy over priced beer, and then impotently chucking it in the general direction of the stage. It missed every time. And this was AFTER they had paid the £30+ charge to get in.

That kind of person wants a curious kind of respect..

They would do the same at motor racing if it would have any kind of an impact. They reside on the same step as the sort of weakminded child who throws bricks onto railway lines.

Not Madstock, just a Madness gig at Broadlands. Was very good though (except Aswad, who were supporting, if I'm honest)
