Just worked out that a time of 3h 25min is an average speed of nearly 25mph. With 4000ft of climbing thrown in then that is amazes me. I could only dream. Chapeau!

The 3h 25min was for the 85km/55mile route and his average was 16.1mph!

Agree, but the pros throw bottles everywhere too.
However I think they a clear up wagon following on behind.

Well, my friend and I finished.... That's all you need to know!! We nearly died, but we finished!! It was fantastic though!!

Does anyone know when the highlights will be on the Bike channel? I received an email and said to look out on their media... Not seen anything yet...

Oh, I forgot to post my video clip from the finishing straight. I have posted it elsewhere but will add it here. Not bad for a smartphone held 8 ft in the air above everybody else's heads!
