Well according to that sheet, about 34% of participants qualified, so I'm not sure what the criteria was in the end.

However if you want to know how close you came to qualifying / not qualifying (delete as applicable), here's the slowest time that qualified in each age category as far as I can see it - assuming I exported it to Excel correctly of course!

19-34 Male - 03:55:46
35-39 Male - 03:58:38
40-44 Male - 04:00:42
45-49 Male - 04:04:11
50-54 Male - 04:09:23
55-59 Male - 04:13:57
60-64 Male - 04:27:39
65-69 Male - 04:20:51
70+ Male - 04:21:16

19-34 Female - 04:33:45
35-39 Female - 04:26:30
40-44 Female - 04:30:52
45-49 Female - 04:40:37
50-54 Female - 04:48:48
55-59 Female - 05:11:38
60-64 Female - 05:22:08
65-69 Female - N/A (only three entrants in category, all showing as qualified, slowest time was 05:58:07)
70+ Female - 04:21:39 (also three entrants, but only one qualified, 2nd best time of 04:51:46 doesn't show a "Q")

If that's right at about 18 minutes there's not a lot of difference between the 19-34 and my 55-59 age groups really.

I suppose 34% is about right for such a big field.

I had thought when I got my chip time I wouldn't be near a qualifying time, quite surprised when I saw the time sheets.

Great day out. Cold and grey early on but hot and sunny for the ride. The wind was certainly a factor. Saw no end of people with punctures and a number of accidents. Hope everyone is OK. I was happy with my performance, average 18.3mph, moving time 4h 34mins. The only fly in the ointment for me was having to get there so early to avoid having to pay £10 or more to park. There was not a great deal to do and given the fairly high entry fee, I thought it was a bit much to charge for parking.

Hi Steve, how did you import to excel I can only get a PDF version.

With some difficulty! Tried copying and pasting from the PDF but it all came out in one long column - took about half an hour to sort it out and end up with something usable. Then just as I was done, I go and find out that someone else had already done the same work and much better than my effort! Check out their work at http://www.epicyclism.com/ToC/ToC_GF_Age_Time.xlsx.

Not impressed with the ones of me.
Professional photographers should be able to do better.
My photos weren't too bad, there just weren't very many of them considering how many photographers were out on the course. Three shots at the start line (where you kind of have to pick me out in the bunch), quite a few at about the 15 mile mark, then just one on the airfield but nothing after that until you reach two miles to go. Looks like none of the motorcycle cameramen caught me - I'm guessing they were concentrating only on the faster riders.

Quite like this one of me(low res version);

This is the best one they got of me,
Shame about the rider chucking up in the background ;)

I don't really understand the desire for photography at these more extreme events. The more serious riders seem to end up looking basically the same: modern road bike, helmet, glasses, lycra, number on the bike, riding hard on an anonymous road. Except for the number and subtleties of the lycra colours, there seems little to identify you or the ride - most people could easily find a pic of someone else that looks like them. Even on rides that go past recognisable landmarks (even that straight into Pondersbridge might count! But really I'm thinking of an event that passed close to Ely cathedral last year - edit: riding towards the camera at https://goo.gl/maps/htSvfAcnury and turning right, which seemed like an obvious photo op not taken), most of the photos seem not to include them, so why would you buy them?
