But like the Seat variant that my mother had for a week or so, it has zero fun or personality compared to the Fiat 500. Inside it is a predictably drab & dark plastic affair whereas the Fiat is anything but, despite having similar harsh, cheap plastic too.

We may even buy a brand new 500 in a year or two. The arbarth edition. Such a cool little car.

Hyundai I20. The newer shape I10 is good, not sure if its within your budget. Or something Japanese, I wouldn't bother with a Mazda, they're really good cars, but the underbody protection is a joke. On the MX5 anyway..
