I came across this image whilst looking for something else
I know older (small) 'vans are light, but a Chevette can't have much of a towing limit??

The Chevette's fairly aerodynamic, but that's a bluff front to drag through the air!!

My first car was a Chevette, but a hatchback

Van doesn't weigh much, prob less than 750kg.

I once towed a 1300kg van with a ford focus TDI. That was fun over the Avon mouth bridge!

Finally, after 'borrowing' the 7-core cable from my lighting-board, to rewire the trailer. I sorted the 'L-B' out this afternoon
I called in at Indespension, in Hunslet (Leeds) to see how much it was per metre (Wandahome, at FerryBridge, wanted £3.50/metre!)
6 metres, cost me £9.50 (inc VAT), which was actually cheaper than it's listed on the website!!
At the counter; £1.32
website states; £1.71
Both are '+VAT'

It's far better quality, than wnat I took off it, for the trailer too!
That said, the last time I used it was when I checked whether it worked, & took it with me, when I actually bought the trailer
Doubtless, it'll now be another few years before I actually need it!

Is the drivers voice the same as the Coastguard public information film, with the “Look Petunia, he’s waving at us!!”

Caravan safety film (1970s?)

Friday 14th

This was its first outing since last year!
I had to pick up a (boxed) item of garden furniture for my parents, from a local garden-centre
My wife had told me it'd go in with the seats folded down

However, the trailer probably need a run out, to check for any new rattles/bearings/that the lights are all okay

I'm glad I took it, as it was damned heavy & awkward to hold, so it was far easier to drop the tail-gate, & slide it in!

I'd momentarily stopped on Kirkthorpe Lane, just to the south-west of the blue circle
