Whilst at Wandahome, I saw this 2-berth
Quite basic, but it's less than a ton, at maximum weight!!

It looks odd, with a non-shrouded a-frame

What's interesting about the Bailey (and of relevance to rearwards vision) is that despite being short and light they've gone for 8 feet wide.

We’ve been earlier today, & bought another ‘porch-awning’
A PVC ‘all-season’,which has a 4-leg frame, so not simply reliant on the awning railings the van

SWMBO & myself are away next weekend, thus it’ll have to wait a while to be erected

I forgot!

With the intention being to leave it up all year round, we also bought some bigger pegs
To paraphrase Mick ‘Crocodile’ Dundee
”Those Aren’t Awning Pegs, These Are Awning Pegs!”

Probably for standardisation of parts front and rear panels windows in particular....

Saturday 3rd

Wife & f-in-l are over at the caravan
I’ve had a phone-call telling me there’s no water

It seems that the Truma body mounted inlet has cracked (recent frosts??)

I’m going to go to Wandahome shortly to have a look at one/cost
Apparently where the thin white pipe joins the larger diameter section

I had a trip over, there was one on the shelves, so I bought it & some mastic tape
I'm going up tomorrow, with daughter (& her b/f) to put the awning up, so we'll have a look at it
(I used our 10% discount card)

Was it not drained down when you parked it over winter? as well as draining ours down i always left the all taps, hot and cold water drain valves, and shower valve open as well so that nothing was liable to lurk in the pipe work, held there by vacuum.

You have to get every bit of water out, as any left in can split pipe work, taps etc, can be very expensive to repair

I was asked to replace a 15mm copper supply pipe to a shower when we had the 'big freeze' on 2012 - Out of curiosity I measured the expanded pipe with my vernier it was 20mm. freezing water is very strong ...... it splits rocks!
