Just put some spikey tyres on my raleigh at30 mountain bike (the one i took up snowdon last autumn).

I know i'm a bit psycho (as per the user name) but i'm hoping to continue cycling 15-20 miles
during the weekday evenings over whatever nature throws at us.

Is anyone else planning to defy any snow and ice that may arrive. :cold:

My main commuter has Marathon Winters on for riding on ice and I also have a MTB with Ice Spikers ready for the snow.

I've been out with the club a few times where it has been sub zero setting off, as long as you are sensible  its not bad, leaning less, edging up to junctions in stead of braking hard, sensible routes (more main roads) etc. I think I'd give the combo of snow & ice a miss though, when we've had days like that its just been the turbo or I have gave it a miss and in the unlikely event I do have to venture out its again been by main roads and on the 32/37mm town bike (rather than the 23/25mm road bike).
