Thomas Gloag has signed a two-year deal with Q36.5.

Renewing old acquaintances. He was Pidcock's mountain domestique when Pidcock won the 2020 Baby Giro.

Am I correct in thinking he showed LOADS of promise but had a fairly hefty accident in recent times, and hasn't yet returned back to previous form.
I was going to say in a similar way to Tulett, but it looks like he is coming back to form as per the Vuelta performance.

I wonder if he chose to move, or if VLAB didn't want to renew.

He was second behind Remco and ahead of Onley on the ToB stage that finished on The Tumble.

I would suspect this might be a significant threat unless there is an Israeli bike manufacturer to replace them.

He's found his moral backbone after agreeing not long ago to continue with them next year. Actually, no he never.

To be honest, the cycling team is irrelevant in this situation. The protests were about what's happening out there, and I'm not sure they've achieved much in that regard.

I take your point.. but Sportswashing ?
When you say they're irrelevant you don't think they're using the team name to try and improve the image of Israel in any way ?
Owner Adams....
“Israel being disseminated to hundreds of millions of people,” he says. It’s the culmination of a personal passion and a worldwide advertising board to win hearts and minds to the Israeli cause.
Also Adams.
“They asked us to quit the Vuelta, but we did not surrender to the terrorists,” Adams said during the race. “I told them that they were wrong and that we had the right to stay.”
Adams’s stance was welcomed by Benjamin Netanyahu
Maybe the relevant sporting bodies will only take action and ban Israel from sports if the protesters make them and sponsors etc put pressure on them ?

What's the form here? Can a billionaire just buy a few bikes and strip the branding off them? I'm assuming an actual sponsorship/partnership isn't strictly necessary.

They've currently only got 18 riders listed for next season, so they might not need all that many....
