Olav Kooij has signed for Decathlon on a three-year deal

Hopefully that means we will see him at TDF next year, I'm curious to how he stacks up with the other top sprinters these days, he's done well in recent TOB editions (I don't watch much pro cycling, only what I'm aware of on freeview).

Apparently he's going to be on 3 million per year at Decathlon meaning he becomes the best paid sprinter of all time.

Armirail has gone the other way, to Visma, two year deal.

Tobias Lund (Andresen) also joins Decathlon - he'll be second fiddle to Kooij but should get his own chances as well, he's got some decent speed on him but can also ride a leadout. Don't know whether we've had it already, but the rest of the Decathlon leadout will be Robbe Ghys from Alpecin, Cees Bol from Astana and Daan Hoole from Lidl-Trek

Agreed, a lot of power and experience there. Hoole has obviously been promised some TT freedom and the chance to ride the classics as well.

They're actually incredibly sprinty for next year, which is a little weird for a team that will eventually be building around Seixas - I guess the aim will be to keep him away from the Tour for a couple more years
